During every chemical service, disulfide bonds are broken and reformed to create a different color, texture, or curl pattern. OLAPLEX’s patented technology mitigates damage by seeking out and repairing broken disulfide bonds during the process. When used together, the two-part system allows salon professionals to push the limits of creativity while protecting the health & integrity of the hair.
How it Works:
OLAPLEX No.1 BOND MULTIPLIER
The first step of the OLAPLEX professional system is used as an additive to lessen damage during chemical processes. It contains the highest concentration of our patented ingredient, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. It can also be mixed with water & applied to the hair as the first step in our Stand-Alone Treatment for more intense repair.
OLAPLEX No.2 BOND PERFECTOR
The second step of the OLAPLEX professional system is applied after chemical processes to repair any remaining bonds that were not relinked during the first step of the service. It can also be used by itself as a Mini Treatment to provide additional reparative benefits during other salon services.

• It can also be used in texture services, such as perms, relaxers, thermal straightening & Japanese thermal reconstruction.
• Keratin Treatments are the only services where OLAPLEX is not added directly into the chemical formula. Due to these services acting as a laminate, the hair is treated immediately prior to the Keratin treatment.
