How it Works:
- Start with Dry Hair: Boar bristle brushes are designed to be used on dry hair. Using them on wet hair can cause breakage and doesn't distribute natural oils effectively.
- Detangle First (if needed): For hair prone to tangles, first use a wide-tooth comb or a dedicated detangling spray to gently work out any major knots, starting at the ends and moving up to the roots.
- Brush in Sections: Divide the hair into manageable sections. This helps you focus on one area at a time and prevents pulling.
- Start at the Ends and Work Up: Begin brushing at the very tips of the hair and use smooth, gentle, downward strokes to clear any knots. Gradually move your starting point up towards the roots as the lower sections become tangle-free.
- Brush from Root to Tip: Once the hair is detangled, brush from the scalp (roots) all the way down to the ends in a fluid motion. This is the key action that distributes the hair's natural conditioning oils (sebum) along the entire hair shaft, adding shine and strength.
- Stimulate the Scalp: The unique rubber cushion pad is designed to conform to the contours of the scalp, providing a gentle massage and stimulating blood circulation to the hair follicles. Ensure each stroke allows the bristles to gently connect with the scalp.
- Be Gentle: The brush is designed for sensitive scalps, but it's important to approach brushing with care, especially with children to prevent "brush-time tantrums".
