How it Works:
Initial Setup
- Unlock: Slide the Lock button on the front of the straightener up to open the plates.
- Enable Controls: Locate the Flight-ready tag (tethered to the device) and ensure it is inserted with the black arrow in the "Home" position to enable battery power.
- Charge Fully: For maximum cordless runtime (up to 30 minutes), fully charge the device using the dock or magnetic charging cable. A full charge takes approximately 70 minutes.
Styling Steps
- Prepare Hair: Ensure hair is 100% dry and detangled. Apply styling products if desired.
- Power On: Press and hold the Power button until a battery icon appears on the OLED screen.
- Select Temperature: Use the (+) button to choose a setting. The device will chime when it reaches the target heat:
- 165°C (330°F): For fine or thin hair.
- 185°C (365°F): For medium or standard hair types.
- 210°C (410°F): For thick, coarse, or curly (Type 4) hair.
Technique:
- Section your hair methodically. Use smaller sections for thick hair and larger sections for fine hair.
- Place hair in the center of the flexing plates for even tension.
- Loosen your grip: The flexing plates are designed to gather hair so you don’t need to squeeze tightly.
- Glide slowly and evenly from roots to ends. One slow pass (roughly one second per inch) is often sufficient.
- Maximize Runtime: Place the straightener on the charging dock between passes to boost the charge.
Post-Use & Travel
- Power Off: Press and hold the power button. The button will pulse until the plates have cooled.
- Lock and Store: Once cool, close the plates and slide the lock button down.
- Flying: If traveling by air, remove or rotate the Flight-ready tag to the "airplane" icon position to disconnect the battery. Always carry the device in your hand luggage.
